James is a 59 year old lawyer with City firm Charles Russell Speechlys. His most recent serious nautical experience was more than 30 years ago as successful co-skipper of small yachts in the Fastnet and two handed Round Britain & Ireland sailing races. He is taking part in the TWAC, his first ever row, not only to keep a wary eye on his fellow crew members (being two of his five children) but also to raise a substantial sum for St Christopher’s, a charity he has supported passionately for more than a decade.
Hugo, aged 21, has always been a keen sportsman having competed at 1st team level throughout university. Off the sportsfield, Hugo is a passionate skier having spent a season in the alps. He recently graduated from Bristol university, and instigated this family challenge to postpone having to enter the real world.
Aged 18, Joe is one of the youngest ever competitors in the TWAC. A keen and successful sportsman who has always enjoyed tennis, hockey and football, this is his first row. After finishing his A levels, he wanted a challenge before starting University
